At this point, we recommend focusing in on those POPs in Discovery that have a ProfileRank grade of "Very High" and "High". These POPs have enough information associated with them to link them strongly with your enterprise.
If there are too many POPs in these top two ProfileRank grades, then we recommend using the Search box to narrow the focus to a particular brand, product, person, etc. Search will look at every field in the table for a match to the string you give it. However, Search can be limited to just tags by using the Filter by Tags button.
If you wish to focus a search and have Brandle show you only POPs that have a search term in a title or URL, then disable “search within descriptions” by unchecking the box above the Search field area. You can enable/disable it on a case-by-case basis.
Just because a POP closely matches some aspect of your enterprise does not mean you want to put it into your active inventory right away. Here are some suggestions – if the POP:
- is one your organization is actively using, we recommend moving it to the "Corporate (Active)" section of your Inventory.
- belongs to your organization but it's currently not being maintained, we recommend moving it to "Corporate (Parked)" section of your Inventory.
- looks like it could be a corporate property but your not sure, that's what the "Interesting" category is for. Any POP moved to "Interesting" will stay in Discovery so you or one of your colleagues can come back and investigate further at a later time. To find these POPs again, just use the View Filter box to select "Interesting" from the Discovery tab.
- is problematic such as it is obviously infringing on a corporate brand or trademark or requires some form of remediation, we recommend moving it to "Infringing" part of your Inventory.
- looks like it may be infringing (or problematic in some other way) yet still require further investigation before a final determination is made, that is what the "Suspicious" category is for. Like "Interesting" the POP will remain in your Discovery but in the "Suspicious" section allowing you or a colleague to easily find these POPs for further investigation at a later time.
You may also also add tags, contacts and notes to any POP in Discovery or in Inventory, allowing you to attach information when you prefer.
