POP is an acronym for online Point-of-Presence. A POP is any place that a company, brand, person, group, etc. can be represented on the Web. This includes corporate-owned websites plus user-generated sites like blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, LinkedIn Groups, and other social media that exist today or may be created in the future.
Because each social network calls these "accounts" or "pages" by different terms, and because websites and blogs and domains are titled as such, we have selected to use the generic term POP or POPs (for plural). This is a very common term at Brandle and when working with the Brandle Presence Manager.
