Like all SaaS vendors in the Social Media space, Brandle uses a social network's API to make the calls needed to discover accounts and get information on the POPs you determine are important to monitor. The API requires that you take part in building the Token Pool for your Account.
There are two types of tokens that networks may require: User Tokens which are enabled by team member Social Sign-on, and POP OAuths which are created when you OAuth specific corporate POPs to Brandle. The social networks require a certain amount of tokens from each type to perform different activities, such as Discovery or updating profile data on a Facebook Page. To enable both token types easily, it is best that you, and other Team members who enable tokens, have credential access to a number of corporate POPs, especially Facebook and LinkedIn. Once user tokens are enabled, Brandle will automatically create the POP Oauth connection for the accounts to which you, and team members, have credential access.
If you are the key Administrator of your account, you will need to create the initial token pool so Brandle has full API access to key social networks.
This video shows you how to enable your User Tokens and OAuth POPs to build your Token Pool for social media monitoring!
As you add POPs to your inventory, you will need more tokens to monitor the entire Inventory, and you may need to ask other team members to enable their social sign-on. You can see if tokens are getting ready to expire by looking at your Team under the Account tab…When tokens are expiring, the token date will turn orange and eventually red once expired. You will also see a Status of Tokens message when you sign in to your account that displays User token and POP Auth status. Brandle will also let you know if you do not have enough tokens for Brandle to complete the monitoring process for the size of your Inventory by adding a message at the top of your Status displays a message.
Tokens expire over a period of about 90-days, so you will need to re-enable them when the deadline is nearing.
