Discovery is the process by which the Brandle Presence Manager searches and finds new points-of-presence (POPs) which appear to be related to some aspect of your enterprise.
During Discovery, the Brandle Presence Manager casts a wide net across the web to search for POPs that may relate to the brands and domains associated with your company. As each candidate POP is found, the system grades it (using our proprietary ProfileRank) on how closely it matches the corporate profile it has automatically compiled on your enterprise. These POPs are placed in the Discovery Tab of your entity account. Discovery occurs at account creation and annually upon contract renewal.
Brand Patrol (and People Patrol) is an add-on module to the Brandle Presence Manager available for purchase. With Brand Patrol, the Brandle Presence Manager goes out and discovers items related to just that brand (and not every brand, domain, or trademark of the company). Brand Patrol can be set-up to search nightly, weekly, or monthly (with weekly being the most common search period).
All POPs found during Brand Patrol and People Patrol are placed in the Discovery Tab and are also graded with our ProfileRank, to make Triage as easy as possible.
