Every point of presence Brandle discovers, that might be related to your enterprise, gets graded on how closely it matches your brands and other identities of your enterprise. Brandle does this via a proprietary ranking algorithm which compares the identity information of the web domain (e.g. found in DNS Registrant Information) and the social presence (e.g. found in the profile information). Over time, as you triage discovered POPs, the algorithm strengthens and the Discovery results both increase in numbers and quality.
Results are classified as Very High (Brandle found so many match points for that POP that it is fairly certain it belongs to your enterprise) to Very Low (meaning Brandle does not think it is likely, but it may be related to your company in some way).
Brandle also finds POPs that are Concerning. This means that there are a number of matches, but there is something amiss. Most often, Concerning POPs have all the elements that look like your brand, but the referenced website has no relation to any domain registered to you in the DNS.
Your Discovery is automatically set to display only the Very High, High, Medium and Concerning POPs that are pulled into Discovery. This is helps you focus on the most important items first.
ALL: Be sure to click the All box to see everything that Brandle has discovered. It is common that the stale accounts, that were partially completed by employees, are in the Low and Very Low areas.
