Brandle's "Tasks" are a set of features that allow you to assign, describe, and set deadlines for work completion with any Brandle Team member. Tasks can help you consolidate work assignments within Brandle and have a centralized repository to know what needs to happen with your POPs, Ad Accounts, and contacts and who is responsible for making it happen.
Here are the details:
Tasks Tab and Tasks Across Brandle
You’ll see that there is \a “Tasks” tab in Brandle, which is the location where all Tasks within the system are centralized. However, Tasks can be assigned not only on the Tasks tab, but in the POP Inventory (relating to a specific POP), within Domains (relating to a specific domain), within Ad Accounts (relating to a specific Ad Account), and within Contacts (relating to a specific person). Tasks can also be applied to a POP in the GRC tab, but note that the Inventory and GRC tables represent the same POP Inventory; so, a Task assigned in one location will automatically list it in the other Inventory as well as the Tasks tab.
Here is a look at the Tasks tab. The features have similar attributes to other features in the Brandle system such as Notes, Event Logs, and an option to "Edit Task" from the 3-bar menu. The table defaults to showing you your current tasks, however, we have changed the filter in this example to list "Tasks of all users". The filter has options for you to view Tasks assigned to you, by you, to anyone, and to a specific person. The table columns list the Task ID, the Related Type (it is left blank if you create a "general" task in the Task tab), the Related Item, assignment Instructions, Due date, and Completed by Date once marked completed.

To create a new task just click the "Add New Task" button. You have the option to assign a task to yourself or to anyone else along with Instructions and an optional Due Date.

The Assignee, if not yourself, will get a notification in the User Menu Bar (top menu) as well as an email message.

Editing and Marking Tasks as Complete
Tasks may be edited by the Creator or an Administrator, which includes updating the instructions or changing the due date or Assignee. The Assignee can mark the task closed and provide a Completion Note and the Creator (and the last Assignee, if different from the Creator) will be notified. The Creator (or an Admin) can then Delete or Reopen (if necessary and with edits) the task. If the task is reopened, the user can provide a note explaining why the task was reopened and the Assignee will be notified (if different from the user). These actions will be recorded, as appropriate, in the Notes and Log Events for the task, so you can track its history over time.

The Action Menu for items on the Inventory>POPs, GRC>POPs, Inventory>AdAccounts, Contacts, and Domains tab now have a “Tasks” option. This will show any Tasks associated with the selected item and allow you to filter, create and edit tasks as you can at the entity level. Any task created at this level will associate the task that that particular item (e.g. POP), which will show in the Related Type and Related Item columns on the entity’s Tasks tab.

Filtering Tasks in Tables and Event Log
As stated at the beginning of this email, you can view all tasks in the Tasks tab. However, you can also filter items by the tasks related to them in other tables. There is now a “Filter by Tasks” option in the Filter area of the Inventory>POPs, GRC>POPs, Inventory>AdAccounts, and Contacts tabs (Domains does not have this level of filtering yet). You can filter the items (e.g. POPs, AdAccounts, etc.) by multiple options to let you process a queue of work.

And finally, if you want to view the event log of all the tasks assigned, edited, and completed, just go to the User Menu Bar and select View>Event Log. Then select your date range, and how you'd like to view the tasks (by all people or by a specific person).

We hope you like working with Tasks and that it makes your job of digital governance easier!
